The U.S. Department of Agriculture found that 69% of imports did not meet the quality standards.

Sometimes, the oil is too old. Many of the oil's heart-healthy components are degraded or have dissolved.

Mueller claims the U.S. Food and Drug Administration used olive oils imports to enforce safety and quality standards.
