In addition, researchers also created statistical models that simulate what would happen to 3/4 of a tablespoon each of butter, margarine, mayonnaise, or other vegetable oils if they were replaced with olive oil.
The chance of dying from any cause was reduced by this switch. The study found that substituting olive oil with other vegetable oils like corn, soybean, and safflower didn't produce the same results.
