A Variety of Reasons To Use Olive Oil in Your Everyday Life

A Variety of Reasons To Use Olive Oil in Your Everyday Life

July 15, 2021

Numerous studies have proven that Olive Oil has a few health benefits. A variety of studies have also suggested that Olive Oil's benefits must be accompanied by caveats.
Healthy Fats

Monounsaturated fats are the main type of fat found in Olive Oil, making it healthier than many other oils.

Olive Oil is also lower in saturated fats, which means that it can be used in place of butter in foods. Olive Oil is free from trans-fats.

Antioxidant

Because of its antioxidant properties, olive oil may lower the risk of developing cancer. The risk of developing degenerative diseases can be reduced by reducing oxidation and cell destruction.

Research has shown that Olive Oil can be used in place of saturated fats to reduce the risk of upper respiratory and stomach neoplasms, breast cancer, and possibly colorectal, and other types.

Cholesterol is not allowed

Olive Oil does not contain cholesterol. It also reduces LDL (or 'bad') cholesterol. LDL cholesterol deposits in the arteries and can lead to heart disease.

Blood Pressure

A variety of studies have shown that Olive Oil has a positive association with blood pressure. There is a decrease in both diastolic as well as systolic blood pressure.

Insulin and Blood Sugar

Research has shown that Olive Oil may help regulate insulin levels and blood sugar.

Redue Oxidation

Olive Oil is rich in polyphenols and olive oil has oleic acid. Both of these substances have been shown to reduce LDL oxidation. Plaque buildup in the arteries is caused by oxidized LDL.

These health benefits are dependent on the quality of the oil at its beginning, how it is stored and the freshness of the oil when it is consumed. The oil's ability to deliver these health benefits is affected by its exposure to light and air.

Help Reduce Cancer Cells With Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Help Reduce Cancer Cells With Extra Virgin Olive Oil

July 14, 2021

New research has revealed that extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), can kill cancer cells. The study's results were published in the journal Molecular and Cellular Oncology.

Paul Breslin, a nutritional scientist at Rutgers University, David Foster, a biologist at Hunter College, and Onica LeGendre, a chemist at Hunter College, discovered that oleocanthal causes a rupture of a portion of the cancerous cells that releases enzymes and causes death without harming healthy cells. This causes cancer cells to be killed by their own enzymes.

Oleocanthal, a chemical found in Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO), is a term for a chemical that is called 'aloe Vera Aldehyde.' Oleocanthal can be made from the olive pulp when the olive is crushed and pressed.

There are many substances in Extra Virgin Olive Oil that have a 6-carbon ring arrangement. They are collectively known as phenolics. These compounds, when combined together, are excellent antioxidants that prevent oxygen pore-radicals (from forming) from forming. They are also anti-inflammatory. It has been shown that Oleocanthal can interfere with the following procedures:

A variety of inflammations.

Alzheimer's disease.

Cancer development and formation.

Researchers discovered that oleocanthal caused cancer cell to die almost immediately. This was in contrast to the 16-24 hours required for programmed cell death (known as apoptosis). While scientists knew that oleocanthal could kill cancer cells, this study is the first to examine how it happens.

Numerous studies have shown that oleocanthal can interfere with the development of cancer and other developmental pathways. In mice, oleocanthal has been shown to cause tumors in live animals. It is unknown if these effects are independent or if there is an upstream cause.

There is an upstream phenomenon that may be a book phenomenon that needs to be clarified. We are opening the lysosome with oleocanthal inside the cell, and releasing poisonous chemicals that kill it. This is known as Lysosomal Membrane Permeabilization, or LMP.

David Foster and Onica leGendre studied breast, prostate, and pancreatic cells. They showed that LMP could kill them, but they did not kill three types healthy non-cancerous cells.

These studies proved that Extra Virgin Olive Oil has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They also showed the potential for transforming diets rich with olive oil, such as the Mediterranean diet, into extraordinary health.

Some of the Best Health Benefits of Balsamic Vinegar

Some of the Best Health Benefits of Balsamic Vinegar

July 14, 2021

There are a few health benefits to Balsamic Vinegar. Balsamic Vinegar is an alternative to the foods we eat every day, but that aren't great for us.

Balsamic Vinegar has a low fat content, which makes it a great substitute for salad dressings and marinades with higher fat levels.

It is also estimated to contain only one-fifth of the calories of mayonnaise-based dressings. Balsamic Vinegar is free of cholesterol and low in sodium. It contains calcium, iron and manganese as well as phosphorous and potassium.

Balsamic Vinegar has health benefits

Heart Health + Blood Pressure + Balsamic Vinegar

Balsamic Vinegar is believed to lower body triglycerides, and total cholesterol. These have been linked with heart attacks and strokes. Balsamic Vinegar, with its low amount of saturated fat, is thought to improve heart health and lower blood pressure.

Premature Aging + Balsamic Vinegar

Balsamic Vinegar may also help to prevent premature aging. Free radicals are formed when there is an oxidation reaction in the body. These free radicals can damage cell membranes, leading to premature aging, hardening arterial walls, and eventually cancer.

The antioxidants in Balsamic Vinegar help eliminate free radicals and reduce cell damage.

Polyphenols + Balsamic Vinegar

Balsamic Vinegar contains polyphenols that stimulate and activate digestive enzymes called "pepsin enzymes". Polyphenols aid the intestinal in efficiently absorbing amino acid, which is essential for cell repair and building.

Because they are polyphenols, which act as an antioxidant, they can help strengthen the immune system to fight inflammation, cancer, and other infectious diseases.

Balsamic Vinegar + Atherosclerosis

Balsamic Vinegar can combat atherosclerosis. This is a serious medical condition that can cause the thickening or rupture of artery walls. They enable the transport cholesterol in the bloodstream, which is why they are often considered to be bad for the body.

Hypotheses suggest that atherosclerosis may be caused by the buildup of LDLs within the vessel walls, which makes them more susceptible to oxidation. Because they cause harmful fatty streaks in the arteries, oxidized LDLs can be toxic to the body. Balsamic Vinegar prevents LDL oxidation.

Premium balsamic vinegar condimento, and other specialty Vinegars can be found in an assortment of flavours that will delight your taste buds and promote healthy eating.
